Yoga is not just exercise; it’s a therapy that heals the body physically and psychologically. The yogic way of life ensures that every situation is not viewed as stress and the body is not always in the flight or fight mode. Yoga paves the way for the rejuvenation, rest and growth of our body. At the physical level, yoga asana seeks to remove blockages and rigidity and build strength over a period of time.

GULSHAN JIT

My name is Gulshan Jit Shekhawat. I am a certified yoga therapist. I did my M.Com from Delhi University and DCS(Diploma in Computer Studies) from Aptech, Delhi. After which, I did a Yoga Instructor Course(YIC) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy(PGDYT) from SVYASA University, Bangalore. The reason for this sudden change was due to a car accident in 2006, which caused me to have slip-disk. After being disabled for nearly a year full of advanced treatments and futile medications, I got myself cured at SVYASA, Bangalore, which further inspired me to study Yoga Basics and continue in-depth research in the role Yoga can play in curing various ailments. From 2007 to 2018, I had my own studio in California, USA, with the name of Lotus Yoga, after which I began online therapeutic sessions for participants from US and Canada.

Prana Mudra - Gulshan taught us this Mudra on November 19th. I have been practicing this Mudra from 20th on a daily basis till this morning. Recently I had some health issues and I was having problem when I go for walking; weakness in both my legs. I see that it has improved considerably. I notice more strength in my legs and more energy. Just wanted to pass this experience to you all and want to thank Gulshan πŸ™
